Established in South Africa in 1992 and moved to Australia in 1997. Stephen Walker, the founder has been the driving force behind developing export markets from Australia. This technology evolved out of necessity, I. E. Economic sanctions applied to South Africa meant replacement parts, new technology and equipment was prohibitively expensive. Uniglide's chemist recognised bearing failure as a myth perpetuated by the industry and consequently developed Uniglide technology to extend the operating parameters of existing lubricants. (He referred to this as "lubrication failure", the inability of the prescribed lubricant to protect the equipment in which it is used! ) Uniglide is used in automotive and heavy industrial applications and performs extremely well in high performance(racing) applications, hence the catch-phrase! Uniglide is looking at an expansion program and would be interested in speaking with potential joint venture partners.
